On monday 21st September a new partnership initiative commenced when forty seven new learners on a Certificate in General Studies began with the Adult Education Service Upskill programme.
The Certificate in General Studies is a full-time programme which is delivered in partnership with the Downtown Centre (who co-ordinate the programme) and third level institutions in Limerick and Tralee. The Adult Education Service will deliver the core subjects of information technology, communications skills and work placement. The course offers participants the opportunity to study a choice of subjects including humanities or science. Direct entry to third level courses is guarenteed to those who successfully complete the programme.
