LCAES Community Education learners Launch ‘Gaeilge Beo’ Irish Calendar 2012
10/01/2012 00:00:00

Participants in four LCAES Community Education Irish classes across the city recently joined forces to put together a unique Irish calendar celebrating the beauty of the Limerick city landscape and the grá that exists here for our national language.  Groups of adult learners from Our Lady Queen of Peace, Southill Gael Scoil, St. Munchins FRC and the Social Service Centre worked together on this collaborative project.

A unique feature of our Community Education Irish classes are their diversity, people of different nationalities and varying degrees of abilities in the language, coming together and sharing a desire to speak the cúpla focail and to celebrate our language.

The ‘Gaeilge beo’ calendar is currently on sale at a price of 2euro per calendar, the proceeds of which shall benefit our chosen charity, namely the St Vincent De Paul. Finally, a special word of thanks to all of you who purchased our féilire.

Go mbeimid beo ar an am seo arís!
