22/11/2011 00:00:00

Huge congratulations to LCAES Youthreach O’Connell Avenue’s (Limerick) Shauna O’Connor, who has received the 2011 National Award for Highest Grade for a female candidate in Leaving Certificate Ordinary Level Engineering.

For her Leaving Cert project, Shauna constructed an automated toy truck and the standard she achieved was so high that it was deemed award-worthy by the Engineering Technology Teachers’ Association.  Shauna was invited to attend the ETTA Annual Conference in Carrick-On-Shannon Co. Leitrim on Saturday November 12th where the presentation was made to her.
