Community Education Meeting a Success
10/09/2009 00:00:00

The annual meeting of Community  Centre Co-ordinators and Tutors, which took place in the Bible Studies Centre, Dominic Street on Thursday 3rd September, was once again a huge success

The focus of this year’s meeting was on adult and community education in challenging times. The opening input with from Mary Hamilton and Brendan Ryan was on the new Adult Education Service Strategic Framework. This was followed by a another thought- provoking input from Guest speaker  Bríd Connolly from the Deptartment of Adult and Community Education, NUI, Maynooth . The event was an ideal opportunity to network and  hear about emerging issues in community-based education.

Pictured are mmbers of the learner network who also attended (from l. to r.) Breda McNamara, Mabel Mescal, Anne Kinsella, Marion McNulty, Christy Flanagan and Marie O' Brien.
