Ancillary Staff win National Innovation Award
21/12/2009 00:00:00

At the VEC National Partnership Forum Annual Conference held in Clontarf Castle earlier this month, City of Limerick VEC Ancillary Staff were proud to receive a National Workplace Innovation Award for their work to enhance communication across the VEC.

Arising from feedback from Support Staff Innovation Session held by the VECNPF in May 2008, ancillary staff highlighted the need to improve communication across the VEC. As a result a number of key supports were put in place for all ancillary staff including:

• Basic Computer classes
• Increased access to the AES Self Access Learning & Information Centre
• Improved access to computers.
• Email addresses for ancillary staff
The initiative has resulted in significant communication improvements for ancillary staff. A big well done to all involved.
